Claims Management

Astrum offers a claims management service to assist insurance companies, third party administrators, benefits organizations and workers’ compensation companies in reducing the workload that case managers handle on a daily basis. Astrum processes most of its referrals within 8 to 28 days. This turn around is well above industry averages for hearing loss claims. From the time a referral is received to the day the claimant is fit, our customer service department is monitoring each phase of the process to ensure that the claim proceeds in a timely manner. We notify all parties involved on the progress of the claim until the case is closed. A detailed record of claimant, provider, case manager, and third party contact is archived on every referral.

Astrum assigns each claimant their own customer service representative that will personally walk him or her through the entire claims process until it has been completed to their satisfaction.

For batteries and other hearing related products that can be received through the mail, the average delivery time is 2 to 7 days.

CEU - Credit Course Overview

The course is designed to give nurse case managers in workers’ compensation a basic understanding of audiology reports and recommendations that are required to review. An overview of industrial hearing loss is presented with an emphasis on the appropriate technology used. Since this is a specialized area, this course will provide needed information useful in their evaluation of each patient's case.
